We are delighted to inform you that we are again holding the City of London Club and BASC Game Dinner, on the 5th December. Over the past three years this has proved to be a most enjoyable and popular evening while at the same time raising funds for the promotion and protection of shooting. This year we are focusing on an expansion of our work in attracting young people into shooting – the lifeblood of our sport’s future.
The menu has been designed and will be presented by Jose Souto, Chef Lecturer in Cul
inary Arts at the famous Westminster Kingsway College. Jose is a passionate advocate of game cuisine and his menu will feature partridge, venison and pheasant.
Our after dinner speaker will be Bill Harriman, BASC Director of Firearms and one of the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow expert in arms and militaria. Bill is also on ardent spokesman in the defence of gun and ammunition ownership and a fine raconteur.
It promises to be another great event for all City guns. There are few opportunities for keen shots that live or work in London to get together and indulge in an excellent game dinner among their friends. For those who have not been to this famous club, it was founded in 1832 and occupies a magnificent Palladian building in Old Broad Street in the heart of the City.
The evening will be black tie with guests being asked to arrive at 7.30 p.m. for 8.00p.m. Tickets for are priced at £90 which will include champagne on arrival and a four-course game dinner with accompanying wines.
You do not have to be a member of BASC or the City Club – just a keen Shot. To reserve a place for yourself or a group please complete the enclosed form. For further information please contact Rachel Dickinson on 01244 573031 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
